Each year, Girl Scouts of all levels can earn the Girl Scout Global Action award. It's an official national award, so you can wear it on the front of your vest or sash.
In 2015, leaders from all over the world met at the United Nations and agreed to work together to accomplish 17 goals by 2030, things like taking care of the environment, making sure all people have enough to eat, and improving people's health. These 17 goals are called the Sustainable Development Goals. They're big goals, but Girl Scouts know a thing or two about changing the world!
Each year, the Global Action Awards focuses on one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year, it's Goal 13: Climate Action.
We will find out about climate change and make a global action climate challenge to share on social media or with your other networks with your parental permission and help in order to earn your Global Action Award.
Patch/Badges: Badge is NOT included.
This event will be done through the Zoom virtual platform. A guardian is needed to attend with their Girl Scout.
